*An earlier version of this post incorrectly listed Obama's Jan. 24, 2012 speech as his fourth State of the Union address. It was his third.

I would like to ask the President to say that if you don't add 2-5 jobs in a year that you are not a job creator and you need to pay a higher tax rate
About now, the POTUS is lacing up his dancing shoes and his staff is giving him the easiest questions that have been made up by the other staffers. This gives the appearance of him answering the questions of the public while giving yet another song and dance about how great things could be. Everything is "just around the corner" according to the democrats. The trouble is, every corner leads to another dead end street.
The left liberal loons don't have a clue how to balance a budget, create jobs or sustain economic growth in this country. But they are great about trying to make everyone afraid of the GOP and anyone who doesn't share their views. It is their only hope to get votes. Deflect criticism and use smoke screens blasting anyone from the GOP so that the attention is off the democrats inability to correct the problems of the nation.
I've got the popcorn ready. The big screen TV is on and waiting for Dumbo to tell us how great we all have it.
Anybody tired of the politics in politics? Can't we get a government set on fixing the problems rather than being the problem? Let's please stop arguing about whose at fault and pass legislation that will encourage investment by entreprenuers to create jobs and expand our economy. We've been talking about the problem far too long!
It seems to be the same old thing, pit those who are good at earning money on their own, good hard work the american way. I'm not rich but I accept the choices I made. I still own my own home and cars no debt. I just learned to save for what I want instead of immediate satisfaction.
Our country was built on hard work, what Obama dosen't say is the goverment paid for his education, and was working from a grant that paid for his community work. I'm sorry to say his class warfare is socialism, if one could find his collage transcripts and look at his instructors were of the liberal socialist vein.
Tax and spend is not the way if we really want to be fair lets just tax everyone the same say 10% on the dollar and no deductions, straight across the board. Then it would eliminate the talk of class warfare and the over 50% of the population would also be paying into help support the goverment, we might even work our way out of debt.
Jimmy Carter's back, he's black, same old same old, I'm ready to put up my $$ and vote for mickey mouse, elmer fudd, whoever, just give me the founding father's conservatism and the closest candidate who's not an obvious dictator, statist fascist, blah, blah, blah...GOD, GUNS, AND GUTS MADE AMERICA FREE!
The speach sounded good and all and I am sure it gave many a liberal warm fuzzys but he's said much the same the last three times. Color me skeptical.
The State of the Union speech was awesome! I get it, completely understand it and I support our President entirely. Now America needs to get it and realize that REPUBLICANS are the liars, the blockers of good policy and continue to be the reason for American political and financial problems. Come on America open your eyes!!!!!
Nadine, you need to get a clue and quit drinking the cool aid. Do you have any idea how the POTUS plans to pay for any of this? Heck, he's eliminating 2T in debt over 10 years but we borrow/spend 3T per year. Oh and by the way, the Warren Buffet is set to make Billions from the delay of the Keystone Pipeline. You know why? Because he ownes Burlington Northern which is now going to have to move the oil to the refineries.
Talk to me Nadine...please.
As Rep.Martha Roby said......."Obama gives SOTU for the final year of his term. Rather than more proposals I suggest he & Reid look at our 27 House-passed job-growth bills"
Obama is a fake leader and he refuses to work with both sides . He postures against "the do nothing Republicans" for the SOTU so that he can get Re elected.
Meanwhile the da#$ Bills are sitting on that DEMBAT Harry Reid's desk !
We should have known what Obama's true colors really are in '09 when he said to John McCain...."JOHN, the election is over, I WON!"
haha i saw some pretty funny tweets on the whole thing from theheroesandvillains.com. they also had this awesome article about the 'Designated Survivor' of the SOTU, Tom Vilsack
